ELECTRONICS

More and more household objects contain electronic units, whether we take a look at the spread of 'smart' products or the development in the car industry, electronic parts are increasingly present. Our company accepts electronic scrap from residents and as well as from production companies. The most common electronic scrap that we purchase:

  • Household appliances (from hairdryers to hand tools)
  • Large household appliances (washing machines, refridgerators)
  • IT devices (phones, laptops, computer parts)
  • Printed circuit board sheet (I. II. and III. class)
  • Control devices
  • Car industry parts
  • Measuring instrument
  • Entertainment electronics
  • Electrical equipment

We cannot accept certain types of electronic scrap from our residential clients (a section of car industry parts), additionally there are certain electronic scrap types (that fall into the category of ‘special FAJ code’ e.g. switch cabinets) that we can only collect if they’re declared first to the NAV (National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary).TVs, monitors, fluorescent tubes can only be collected for a service fee, as it is categorized as hazardous waste.

Our group is a shareholder in the electronic recovery plants (E-Elektra and E-hull) operating in the domestic market and thus as a supplier we can provide special conditions to our corporate clients.

NON-FERROUS

There are many household appliances containing non-ferrous metals in our everyday life (wires, cables, taps, radiators, batteries etc.), these can also be found at production companies working with non-ferrous materials. We collect these materials at our yards from both residential and corporate clients. As there are more valuable metals in question (compared to steel scrap) we place a strong emphasis on the measurement.

We collect the following metals at our yards:
  • Aluminum
  • Copper (coated or uncoated)
  • Bronze (copper and tin alloy)
  • Brass (binary /ternary)
  • Zinc (also known as spelter)
  • Lead

In case of aluminum the price varies (depending on its purity and processability) for different types of aluminum waste, such as alloy/non-alloy sheets, casting, profile, chip. In case of aluminum, iron is a frequent 'contaminant' (e.g. steel screws) which makes recycling more difficult thus significantly lowering the price of the material.

Similarly to aluminum, in case of copper-alloys, the price is determined based on copper content and processability. Certain coatings (e.g. lacquer) lower, while other coating (e.g. tin) increase the price of copper scrap. Certain cable scrap we can only accept with the appropriate documentation (material that requires a special Metal trading permit and needs to be declared to NAV). For more information contact one of our yards. The pricing (similarly to electric motors) depends on the copper content.

Lead waste is most often encountered in the form of batteries. We can only accept alkaline batteries in limited quantities, our collection mostly consists of lead-acid batteries. Waste that contains lead is already hazardous waste, lead-acid/alkaline batteries are hazardous in every situation, only yards that have the necessary permit can accept them (all of our yards have this permit).

Our company is in contact with several (domestic and foreign) non-ferrous metal recovery plants. The prices at which we purchase scrap is adapted to the recovery plant prices, the daily stock prices and foreign exchange rates, therefore if you plan on bringing larger amounts, ask for a quote from our commercial department.
